The April music experiment went so well, the hostesses of the #CultureTrav Twitter chat have invited me back… this time to discuss “Art in Travel.”
Like always, this chat (founded by Nicolette Orlemans and co-hosted by Jessica Lipowski) is open to anyone and everyone. We start at 2:30 p.m. Eastern and go for a half hour. Using Tweetdeck, just search the hashtag #CultureTrav and add that column to your feed so you can see every tweet that comes in under that category.
Questions (see below) are posted every five minutes, and you can contribute an answer (or as many answers as you like) at any time, once the question has been posed. In your responses, please include the #CultureTrav hashtag, along with A1, A2, and so forth for answers to each corresponding question. It’s simple and fun!
So, please join us on Thursday, May 14… and get “creative” with your “art in travel” answers.
#CultureTrav Q1: Has art — a particular piece, artist, or place — ever inspired you to travel?
#CultureTrav Q2: What does art say about a country or culture? Where is the most artistic city, country, or region you’ve ever been?
#CultureTrav Q3: Has a piece of art ever stayed with you after returning from your travels? Were you surprised? Share a pic.
#CultureTrav Q4: Which art museums, famous or lesser-known, would you recommend visiting?
#CultureTrav Q5: Do you feel architecture is a work of art? Why or why not?
#CultureTrav Q6: Have you been inspired to study art (take up painting, follow a photography class, etc.) after your travels?
#CultureTrav BONUS: Photography is an art form. Share a favorite artistic photo you’ve shot on your travels.
